Recently we released a new version of the parallel package on Hackage, version 3.1.0.0. Less-than-traditional uses of types: dependent, higher-ranked, existential, etc. Last year, I gave you the terrifying Truth about Scala. If you've never enountered Haskell before, I find The Evolution of a Haskell Programmer an amusing and informative read. Types and logical type programming. I welcome Clojure, Haskell, F#, OCaml, even Coq. Have never even written a Hello World with one. But that was just a small piece of the functional programming world. An enthusiastic software developer on the Isle of Wight. I've always wanted to learn a functional programming language. Now I'm going to make that inspiration into action by trying to learn Haskell in a day.
